KanREN is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to update its firewall services. This RFP covers the design, supply, and support of a next-generation firewall solution. The selected vendor will support KanREN's member institutions across higher education, healthcare, government, and K-12 sectors.

  • Evaluation Period: October 26 – November 6, 2026

  • Vendor Selection/Contract Request: November 9–13, 2026

  • Contract Finalized: November 30, 2026

  • Purchase Order Issued: December 1, 2026

  • Delivery Date: February 26, 2027

  • Project Kickoff: March 1, 2027

  • Project Migration: June – July 2027

All dates are subject to change at KanREN's discretion. Vendors will be notified of any revisions.

Vendor Questions: Submit responses to rfp-prj-004-26@kanren.net no later than Friday, September 11, 2026. Responses to all vendor questions will be compiled and issued to all participating vendors no later than Friday, September 18, 2026.

Proposal Submission: Proposals must be submitted to rfp-prj-004-26@kanren.net no later than Friday, October 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT.
